My father’s brother, Pasquale De Dominicis was born June 1, 1899 in Palomonte, Italy.

My father, Filomeno De Dominicis was born February 9 , 1904 in Palomonte Italy.

My Grandfather in Palomonte Died, and My Grandmother Remarried
My grandmother decided to marry her next door neighbor, whom my father did not like.

My Father Arrived at Ellis Island, January 22, 1921
My father did not like the man his mother remarried, so when his sister Maria Cupo offered to sponsor him to come to the U.S., he accepted the offer.
He arrived at Ellis Island in New York on January 22, 1921 at the age of 18 years and was met by his brother in law Sabato Cupo. He couldn’t speak english so they changed his name from De Dominicis to Domenici.

My Father Lived with HIs Sister, and Went to Barber School
My father went to live in Staten Island with his sister Maria Cupo. He worked as a laborer digging streets, and then went to school to become a barber.

My Parents Married During the Great Depression
My father met my mother while he was visiting his brother in The Bronx. When they married it was the time of The Great Depression. They lived in Jersey City with friends John and Palma Chiola who also immigrated from Palomonte, Italy. They lived in a apartment that had no heat. My mother would walk to the railroad to gather wooden boxes to make a fire in the kitchen stove. They were very poor and did not have money for milk so my mother would pour tea in my bottle.

My Father Got a Job with the WPA (Works Project Administration)
This was a government project to give jobs to the unemployed during The Great Depression. My father dug ditches and built roads while my mother went to work in City hospital laundry room.

My Father Got a Job Building War Ships, 1941.
World War II Broke Out on December 7, 1941. This ended the Depression. My father got a job building war ships in Bayonne,N.J.

I attended Public School 74 in New York City
I skipped a year and ended up in my brother’s 6th grade class.

I met my husband, George Reeth Sr.
I met my husband George Reeth Sr. at Baruch College. We married when I was 18 years old. We had three children Marie, George and Mark.

I got. a Part-Time Job as a Bank Teller
I got a part time job at Chase Bank while I attended Queens College.

George and I Divorced, and I moved to a House in Queens
We divorced after 22 year. We were living in an apartment on Third Ave. in Manhattan. My son, Mark and I moved to a house that I bought in Little Neck, Queens for $3000. down payment.

I Was Asked to Teach a Speech Course
I took a course with Dale Carnegie to improve my speech, I was asked to teach the course the following year.

I Worked as a Media Research Analyst at A.C. Nielson
I received a job interview at A.C. Neilson. I worked as a Media Research Analyst, later becoming a Group Leader.
I would play tennis with two of my friends at Neilson every week. One weekend we took a bus and went Skiing.

Dennis and I Married, 1981

Dennis & I Started Our Own Business
When we decided to start our own business, Brennan & Domenici Associates, I sat down with a lawyer and a accountant to set it up. Dennis did most of the traveling while I handled the books, and worked closely with our accountant. We attended many conferences and also created conferences.

We Bought Our Hillsdale House
We bought our house in Hillsdale, which was built in 1825 with 90 acres. I ran for office and was elected to the Hillsdale Town Board. One time I drove to Albany to get Bond money for our town.
Also, I took a college course to get a Real Estate License, but never sold a house.

I Spent Summers in Wildwood & Cape May, New Jersey
Every summer I stayed in our Wildwood, N.J. Condo. We later had a house built in Cape May, N.J. The family visited us often, and we had Lindsay and Paige with us every summer.

We Moved to Forty Myers, Florida
We moved to Fort Myers Florida for seven years, where I learned to play Mah Jongg.

We Became "Halfbacks" and Moved to Sun City, South Carolina

We Currently Live at South Bay Mount Plesant, SC
My grandaughter Lindsay became adopted by the front desk employee of my building. She tried to adopt Ryan, but he got away so that he was able to build this website.
